Chris is a veteran educational artist with more than 25 years of experience working with young audiences. Apart from creating a wide variety of interactive, educational programs for schools and libraries, he has also developed a number of classes for summer camps and more. Past classes such as Circus Skills, Drama and Improvisation have have been hosted by Episcopal Academy (Newtown Square PA), Agnes Irwin Summer Session (Villanova PA) and Imagination Stage (Bethesda MD). The Juggling for Athletes class has benefited such groups as Fencing Academy of Philadelphia: “…the juggling skills Chris taught my fencers helped them achieve both a better cross-body ability and develop their motor skills.”

I. Crafty juggling
Make your own juggling balls and learn how to use them! In this 90 minute session, we will use tennis balls, balloons and rice to craft our own juggling balls (yours to keep)… then, once the balls are built, we’ll begin learning to juggle, first with scarves, then step-by-step through the form for 1, 2 & 3 ball technique.
For Ages 8 +
II. Circus skills for beginners
In this 90-minute session, you will learn: to balance objects, to juggle scarves and balls, to spin plates, to twist balloon animals – and perhaps a bit of physical comedy, too.
For Ages 6 +
III. Ballooning for Beginners
During this 90 minute session, we’ll learn to inflate balloons with a manual pump, and tie them closed. Beginning with the simple “Flying Mouse, the kids will learn the basic twists and construct shapes like giraffes, dogs, swords (and cutlasses), elephants, fish and more!

Enrollment is open – there must be 4-6 people signed up to hold the class
